Avengers Miniature Cake

Avengers Miniature Cake
A client who also happens to be an old highschool friend of mine was discussing a future order mentioned that her son was turning 4 in 3 days and no party was planned as of yet, since I have a miniature cake to make that same day I know I'll have extras and decided to offer her one for her son's birthday as a gift

She mentioned that her son happens to be into Marvels: The Avengers thes days

It was a challenge to incorporate such details in a tiny cake so I didn't make any promises,
I simple said "I'd give it a try"

And that "try" turned out to be awesome
It's very simple and neat-looking
yet it does scream Avengers

Baby Boy's 1st Miniature Cake

Miniature Birthday Cake
A last minute order I couldn't say no to..
The order was supposed to be cupcakes but I suggested a miniature cake since it's for a baby's 1st month birthday, something special and different than regular celebratory delectables
I threw in a few cake pops and cake balls just to make it look more elaborate

Everything from the candle to the ribbon around the stand perfectly blended well
There's nothing I would change about this creation

Whimsical Mad Hatter Cake

Whimsical Mad Hatter Cake by amberallure cupcakes
Whimsical Mad Hatter Cake
My first try making a whimsical (topsy turvy for some) cake
I made this for my sister's 28th birthday

The moment she heard the term whimsical
"Alice in wonderland" crossed her mind
but I didn't want it to look like a kid's cake so I only incorporated the teacup

Miniature Birthday Cakes

Miniature Birthday Cakes by amberallure cupcakes
Miniature Birthday Cakes
My addiction to miniature cakes is unstoppable!
For a close friend's daughter's 13th birthday and her Mom's 58th birthday celebrated on the same day, I decided to create simple yet fun designs.

Luckily, her Mom's favorite color is yellow! and who could go wrong with a flower topper? And yes, everything is edible!

Fun yet simple colors for the 13 year old celebrant, topped with a pretty bow!

Each design chosen were perfect for their age :)

Edible toppers add a perfect touch!

...and I love how neat and simple they look yet still elegantly fun!

Walking around the Luxor hotel where the party was being held, I was stopped numerous times by people asking me where I bought these, too bad I didn't have my business cards with me.
Everyone was in-cuteness-love with it!

Not all miniature cakes can fit in these clear box
These boxes were actually extras left from a previous order
It was just plain luck that my toppers were just right height-wise.

Luau Party Cake Pops

Every year a friend of mine throws an annual Luau party
Although I never got the chance to attend any of them, I wanted to make something special for the party this year, at the same time, it'll be a great opportunity to promote my delectables to a different crowd

I have probably done hundreds of pina colada pops this summer! They are just too cute and perfect.

Lovin' the trimmed leis too! It's very tropical.. very hawaiian.. very LUAU!

Princess Tiana Miniature Cake

I'm in love with miniature cakes!
Not only are they cute, they're also 'less' stressful to make hahaha

Princess Tiana Miniature Cake by amberallure cupcakes
Princess Tiana Miniature Cake

This order was placed 2 days before event date
so it's obviously a 'rush' order, I could have made the entire doll edible
but I already bought the doll and didn't want it to go to waste
I had to buy one just in case I didn't get enough time to create an actual one
Diamond & tiara made of fondant and so is the gown waist down

You would think that a tiny cake can't hold such theme but it actually can and it keeps it simple

Miniature cakes are just perfect!
It's like your very own piece of cake molded like it's for everyone

Purple flowers compliments the green
Perfect touch!

Playboy & Mini Cakes

I love making cakes!
If you're a good friend of mine then you're lucky cuz I will always have something for you on your special day!
This friend of mine is absolutely a playboy fanatic, she even has a bunny tattoo, so for her birthday I decided to make her a playboy themed cake. But I couldn't pick between making her a purse cake or a tiered cake, so ahyway I just went about and made her 2 cakes, since it's also her boyfriend's birthday I made him a mini cake as well.

Mocha Flavored purse cake

Details are very important
but making it look simple and neat really brings it together

Chocolate flavored mini cakes & red Velvet cake pops

Mini cakes are perfect because you never really finish an entire cake.
I had so much fun covering these with fondant, it wasn't that hard and I got the edges looking sharper than usual. It might be a little tricky decorating them but there really are endless ways you could think of.

Engagement Themed Cupcakes

This Engagement arrangement comes with a dozen cupcakes, 2 of which is topped with cake pops, a miniature wedding cake and a mini ring box cake. Ruffled flowers made from gumpaste, all other decorations are marshmallow fondant.

Engagement Themed Cupcakes

A really good friend of mine who also happens to be one of my loyal and best clients recently got engaged to her amazing boyfriend who's also my friend. They were having a family affair to celebrate their engagement and she wanted something special, so she ordered a dozen cupcakes and asked me to turn it into something like a story book on how the proposal went

The flowers were actually supposed to be peonies, but the peony cutters I ordered did not arrive in time, so of course I had to make something a little similar to it, I'm just lucky I stumbled on a ruffle flower tutorial 2 days ago

Ruffled Flower Gumpaste

This ring box cake was a surpise for them
All the while they though I'd have the ring on a cupcake, but I wanted to make this arrangement more elaborate so I made this box out of cake and made it look like the actual box the groom-to-be had which was also silver

Baby on board! ..Let's get tropical baby shower theme

A very unique theme for a baby shower isn't it? When a client consulted about a baby shower order, I immediately had typical baby shower ideas, but when I was I told that they were planning a tropical setting, I admit -- I sort of went blank! Until ideas kept flying in my head, and I just couldn't get enough of this theme! I love every process of working on it, it made me stretch my imagination. I'm extremely happy with the customer's feedback and their satisfaction. The best part is, I once again expanded my business circle and even gained a friend and because of a flavor request, I now have a new flavor added to my menu -- Lip Lickin' Key Lime! I never thought I would love that flavor since it isn't in my tasting palette, but it was truly lip lickin' and I love it!

Very Tropical and i'm in cupcake love with it!
2 dozen Devil's Chocolate & Vanilla Cupcakes
Everything on the cupcakes are Edible!
Cupcake stand designed by me as well :)

 Baby on board!
This was actually a last minute idea and a very unique one too!
If only I'm familiar with isomalt, it would have looked better,
but I'm still lovin' how they turned out :)

Swimming babies!
Another last minute idea..

This was the original design idea,
but the plam tree shaped cutter I purchased online was a size bigger than I expected, and they were too tall to fit the cupcake tier stand, so I had to come up with a different Palm tree design, and guess what? It came out even better than if I used those cutters.

Ready tor surf! -- I mean for pick up! haha ;p

I was a little skeptical about adding this to the cake pop arrangement because it's a baby shower theme, but the client wanted to incorporate it to give a more tropical feel, and hey it was actually the best of all the cake pops! It was so fun to make and it was screaming awesomeness!

Very beach-y yet simple and cute!

"God Bless & Blue Skies"

This client decided to go for a non-traditional theme for a bridal shower
She specifically wanted to incorporate the adventurous, outdoorsy interests and likes of the couple who are both Air force graduates and loves camping, rock climbing, skiing & parachutes.

I was honestly a bit baffled when I was given this theme
theres only so much you can put on small pop
but yet again, it's been proven that the possibilities are truly endless when it comes to the world of baking
This was probably the hardest challenge I was given in terms of design ideas

It's actually a pretty clever idea
Though it was a challenge creating a man smaller than a size of a thumb out of fondant

Another clever idea

It was fun painting the Air Force logo
I wish I made more of this

So far, the client and the engaged couple were extremely happy with my creation that they were actually considering to place an order for 150 wedding cake pop favors!
It's such an overwhelming quantity for a home based baker like me so they wanted to give me some time to think it through if I am really able to make that much, but of course I'm not letting this amazing opportunity pass, it's such an honor to be trusted with anything that has to do with the most important day of a couple's life. I'm actually so excited that I have a zillion ideas running in my head! :)
