For my daughter's 2nd birthday, I decided to go for a ballerina inspired theme just because I have so much cake design ideas in mind. The ballet slippers topper was a must. The quilted effect also blended well with it's soft color and a touch of pearl beads

Ballet Slippers made with Rice krispies covered with a light layer of buttercream and marshmallow fondant
If you look closely (wish I took a closer picture of the details) you will see a touch of pink diamond on each slipper. The name was the toughest part for me to do since I'm not a good piper (and i'm fully aware of that.. haha) I just hoped for the best outcome trial after trial. I used cookie icing with a soft pink color that blends well with the rest of the cake
The photo above was the first I took of this cake, I was too excited to show what I had made but realized I wanted to add something more to it, so as you can see in the photo below I added a ribbon on the top

Ballerina inspired cupcakes
I cutom made the stand and stitched the tutu by hand, and may I say how much work it was! Took me 3 hours to stitch them and attch them with a glue gun. Only to find an easier way to make a tutu days after this...

I was very excited to make this tutu cake pops, again I stitched each to fit each stick
It was definitely a lot of work but well worth it. My only mistake was shaping the body a little to thick, i completely forgot that the white chocolate adds another thick layer

When I was younger my parents bought us the same Malibu Barbie dollhouse, so when I saw this online at Toys R us I was ecstatic! Of course I hasd to buy it! doesn't matter how packed their room is with toys -- I will definitely make room for this one! They already have a Hannah Montana dollhouse and a High School Musical School House and a Barbie Vacation House but this is a must-have!
